The preparation for Nazliah’s Big Day started about a week or two, soon after her engagement on the 2nd February 2008. Her theme was 1920 England and her choice of colours were lilac, peach and cream. It was pretty daunting at first, as the engagement were simply superb. (Just scroll down and look for a title “An Elegantly Simple Engagement”.) In our minds, her big day must be equally as good or even better than her engagement, with some budget constraint. Planning and designing her day was exciting, as we have always wanted to do this particular theme with a twist.
Firstly, we got her suits tailored by the same person who did her engagement suit. Secondly, we booked the makeup artists who were, fortunately, available for the dates required. Now, booking for Henna Artist who makes home visits on the other hand was a nightmare. Somehow, it seemed that these ladies planned to have their babies at the same time! They were either in their late stage of pregnancy or in confinement period. After many unfruitful phone calls to almost everyone that we know and at the brink of giving up, Nabila was our savior. She was free, not pregnant and not in confinement period for the required dates. Phew! (more…)
Malay engagements are relatively simple customary affair where close family members and friends are invited to witness this day. We had a wonderful opportunity to do a simply elegant engagement on the 2nd February 2008 in Klang, Selangor for Nazliah & Izwan. Nazliah’s theme colour was baby pink.
We would like to share some of the photos with you. Thank you Nazliah & Izwan for engaging RCE, Man Kajang, Ayang, Nas, CS and Sajian D’Hidang for your event.

We look forward to planning and managing your BIG DAY!
I really did not know what to expect when I made my way to Gurdwara Sahib at Titiwangsa on the Saturday morning of the 26 January 2008. This was my first experience in my entire life witnessing a wedding ceremony in a Sikh temple. It is for our client, Shyam (and Sangeeta). I must say that it was different from the weddings that Red Carpet Eventus normally plan, arrange and manage. I was intrigued by the whole event there and it was a very good experience overall. Thank you, Shyam and Sangeeta for engaging us to do your Sangeet and Reception. (more…)
24th January 2008 was an exciting time for us ladies at RCE. It was the first time that we had to do an event that differs from our norm. We were engaged to do an event called Sangeet at Kelab Golf Negara Subang in Subang Jaya. We did some research what Sangeet was all about and figured out how to incorporate our client’s wishes on the decor. Like many couples… we understood their requirement on being different and unique.
Now, Sangeet is an event in a Hindu or Sikh wedding which takes place 2 or 3 days before a wedding reception. Sangeet is an all ladies event but nowadays we have men taking part in the singing and dancing as well. The Sangeet that we did had LOTS of singing and dancing. The food were scrumptious from finger foods of various kinds to rice and stuff. Everyone enjoyed themselves including us and the photographers! Really Bollywood style… our clients were really a matching pair both good looking and beautiful!
Enjoy the pictures which we managed to take prior to being too happy that day!

Each couple is unique in their own ways and we try to reflect this uniqueness in their events. One of our clients loved the number seven and the colour green. When one mentions the number seven, many of us would imagine seven individual items grouped together. Nothing more. The Wikipedia in their website, http://en.wikipedia.org, gives a generous and detailed explanation on the number seven. The number seven on the other hand, was aptly reflected during our client’s wedding day. They were in “seventh heaven” that day!
We toyed with several ideas based on this number and finally came out with a theme suitable for their wedding events, both for Akad Nikah and Wedding Receptions. It was based on Edmund Spenser’s allegory, Faerie Queene. What has this allegorical work got to do with the number seven? Ah… that’s another story of its own. Anyway, the theme was a magical fairy land with number seven in prominence - we even had ladybirds on trees. Did you know that ladybirds have 7 spots? ![]()
THE IDEA/THEME
On the evening of 7 April 2007, as soon the last guests made their way home, we made our way to the city centre. The drive along the highway was smooth but the mood changed drastically upon nearing the city. Jalan Sultan Ismail was horrendously bad! We were inching all the way to Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur. However, we made it in time to set the place up for Lyn & Ken Imran’s Engagement Party with their close friends.
Sugar Club was chosen for their Engagement party simply because it sort of matches with our clients’ tastes and requirements. The place has a classy with rather stylish decor for upmarket clientele. It also has an elevated dancefloor and the DJ plays funky soul music. The other thing that is a plus for Sugar Club is that, there are cosy little nooks for small group parties. (more…)
Thought of sharing with you our very 1st event, an engagement for someone very dear to us held on 7 April 2007 in Klang, Malaysia. This was where it all began for RCE…
Sometime in early January 2007, Lyn informed me that she was getting engaged and that she would like RCE to do the event for her. We communicated through the internet mostly, as it is definitely much cheaper than making long distance calls to Australia. What we knew was that she loves beautiful things (don’t we all
) and the colours pink and green.
Realising that we had just about 3 months to materialise the whole event, we put on our thinking caps and shifted to fifth gear all the way. A complete proposal was submitted within two weeks to Lyn via email. She was thrilled with the whole idea of ‘East Meets West’ and having specially designed bunga manggar at her event. As a matter of fact, most of the items for the event were either custom made or designed specially for her. (more…)
